Terms of sale

These terms apply when you buy from Body Butter Bureau (“we”, “us”) on this website. By placing an order, you agree to them, and to our Shipping + returns, Subscription terms and Privacy policy.

Our products

Our body butter is a cosmetic made from 100% naturally refined shea butter. It is not a drug and is not meant to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Statements on this site have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. Shea comes from a tree nut. If you have a nut allergy or sensitive skin, test a small patch first and stop using it if irritation happens. Each jar is made by hand, so texture and color can vary slightly between batches.

Prices and payment

• Prices are in US dollars. Sales tax is added at payment where it applies.
• Payment is handled by our payment partner on their secure page. We do not see or store your full card number.
• We may correct errors in prices or descriptions, and cancel affected orders with a full refund.

Deals and discounts

• Bundle savings (buy 2 jars save 10%, 3 or more save 15%) apply automatically to one-time jars in the same order.
• Subscription orders get 20% off the first delivery and 15% off each delivery after, and do not combine with bundle savings or other offers.
• Unless we say otherwise, one discount applies per item, offers have no cash value, and we may end an offer at any time.

Orders

Your order is accepted when we send your confirmation. We may limit quantities or cancel an order, for example if a product sells out or we suspect fraud. If we cancel, we refund you in full.

Shipping, pickup and returns

See Shipping + returns. Risk of loss passes to you when the carrier delivers your order or when you pick it up.

Subscriptions

Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. See Subscription terms.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for that purchase. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts in Harris County, Texas, unless the law where you live gives you a different right.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version posted when you place an order applies to that order.
